Heroin or Villian?

Well, I had finally had enough and told the other half to pack his bags and leave. He obliged, but only to go to my sisters for 1 week - an attempt I am assuming to try and apease me. Only I know and he knows that it takes at least 2 weeks for the stuff to get out of your system, let alone sort out the reasons why he is on it in the first place.

Another crucial fact is - that although the childcare has been an issue I have managed to get through it and we have had a thoroughly nice time and haven't missed him at all. He hasn't even bothered to phone. Which is good news as far as I am concerned, but I thought he may have phoned the children!

So all in all it has only baulstard me on to have a life on our own. Onwards and upwards!

Hello all

Hope you all had a good Christmas and are going to have a really Good New Year.

Christmas went without a hitch. The children opened their mound of presents (I have been collecting since July). Needless to say the majority of which were bought and wrapped by me (as in most houses I suppose)

Went to see my Dad and his wife - my sister, her husband and my niece and nephew came along as well. The children enjoyed it and so did I. Just having the knowledge that my family are there supporting me helps a lot.

Asked my partner to move out, as he is obviously not getting any better staying at home. He should be now winging his way to my sisters (God help them) to try and finally come off heroin. I personally don't believe it will happen, but I have to let this happen for the sake of my eldest. I have told her the truth about Daddy, and why he has been "Ill" recently. It was a difficult conversation, but I feel she is more able to accept what is going on now than she was previously.

Anyway - here is to a Happy New Year to one and All

Well Christmas is almost upon us. My little one finished school on Friday, but eldest has 2 days left.

We have a tree, we have the decorations, we have the festive biscuits - we are nearly ready.

Other half has been lying again. He is taking heroin again. Something tells me that Father Christmas will not be visiting him this christmas - or at least if he does it will be a different sort of a daddy!

I have asked him to leave the house, so now all I have to do is get through Christmas and then chase up the request with vigour. I am not saying it will be easy, but it can't be any harder than the last 2 years have been.

Anyway, if I don't write again before Christmas (no computer at home) then I wish you all a Happy Christmas and all that you asked for in your sacks!

Well, it is my little boys birthday on Saturday and so I spent last night wrapping present in prepartation for the big day. Whilst wrapping I was aware that one of the presents was supposed to be from my partner. Do you think he bought such and item? No. Do you think he will take credit for buying the present? Yes. It just goes to show that you can't always have things your own way. I would rather not have to provide the sham, but then it is just my little one that suffers.

I know that there are other people out there worse off than me - my friends stepdad is dying of cancer, children are being abused and entire countries are under an oppresive leader - but for now all I can focus my attention on is the immediate problems.

The party is on Sunday, and my daughter is in charge of the games and my sister and her husband are traveling for 4 hours just so they can be there for me. I am pretty lucky really.

Life has a funny way of showing you who is boss, and I will come out on top of this.

Hello all

I just need the space to write my thoughts and here other views.

My life has been mixed up recently and I am at the stage now where I have to move on or go under.

My partner of 18 years and father of my two children became a heroin addict three years ago. We have been through the cold turkey - he went back to the stuff, he has been helped by the medical profession - he went back to the stuff - he has promised countless times that this is it he will do it no more - only to find he is back on the stuff.

He functions on certain levels, but he cannot do responsiblity. He has got himself and consequently me into massive debt. He has been lucky that his profession allowed him time off sick on full pay for a considerable time - But now I CANT TAKE ANYMORE. I have asked him to move out, but will he go? Not when he is onto a good thing here. He is clothed, fed and housed.

Life used to be good and I am sure it will be again. I will learn from this experience and this blog is to catalogue my progress.
